Dear Families: 

Our distance education programs with Choice Boards have now been established for each classroom. Teachers are making regular phone calls and have set ZOOM meetings each week. 

NOTE: The Ministry has mandated that report cards must be completed in June (final version is To Be Determined). We want to work with families to provide the necessary support to promote student growth and evidence of learning as needed. We understand how busy families are during these challenging times but we do have requirements to meet. offers additional learning/exploration activities. 

** Unfortunately, we are having difficulty connecting with a number of families & students.

• Great news! MPES has won a $5000 grant through the Vancouver Sun to support students and families in need. Will be working with our wonderful community school team to provide food, clothing, toiletries etc. to our local families. PHSS has been awarded the same grant. 

• A number of generous community members have purchased brand new books, puzzles, games and crafts as gifts for our students. These gifts have been cleaned and stored away safely for the past week. If you would like to receive a free gift for your child this week, or you’d like to pick up any of your child’s school supplies, please let us know via phone message 604-883-2373, or email: or you can show up at the set times below: 

The pick-up schedule for this week will be 9 am to 12 Noon on the following days: 

Ms L’s K/1 class = Mon. Ms K’s 1/2 class = Tues. Ms Liz’s 2/3/4 class = Wed. Ms ML’s 4/5/6 class = Thurs. 

Sibling supplies will be combined for one easy pickup. 

Note: Due to health and safety protocols, access is limited. Don’t forget 2 m social distancing. 

• Ms. Jay, our Librarian, is offering weekly ZOOM sessions for students on Fridays @ 1 pm.
