RE: INFORMATION UPDATE FROM MPES FOR MONDAY, APRIL 6, 2020
Thank you for your patience as teachers at MPES spent last week reaching out to our families to assess individual needs and support options.
NOTE: If you did NOT receive a call, please contact our school phone to leave a message
at 604-883-2373. Messages will be checked regularly via remote access.
You can also contact our Admin. Ass’t: Rachel Bowering at firstname.lastname@example.org or myself at email@example.com . Essential SD 46 and Covid 19 info. can be accessed at www.sd46.bc.ca
•This week we are formulating our plans to provide support to all our learners and families.
•By this Thursday your child’s teacher will send out electronic Overview Plans for the first full week: April 14 to 17. We understand that ‘what works for one family may not work for another’ so our teacher Overviews will provide differentiated learning options from the minimal requirements, to the core activities, along with extension options.
•K/1, 1/2 & 2/3/4 classes will be using Fresh Grade as their primary communication platform. The upper class will be using Google Classroom once it is set up by the district.
•In the meantime, please watch for additional emails from your child’s teacher, the school or the district to keep up with all the events and information.
**Pick-up of essential student supplies is being arranged for this week at MPES. We will be in touch with those families who have emailed me with a request.
Note: Due to health and safety protocols access is very limited and it must be scheduled beforehand. Please do not show up until you have received an email or been contacted via our school phone: 883-2373.
In recent days I have received some helpful parent links that offer extra support to families. Please skim them over and see if any apply to your family situation. Don’t forget to check out

Take care and stay safe!
